Journeyman Plumber

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to remodeling and maintenance tasks, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites and in existing buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot problems promptly.
• Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspection reports for project records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, HVAC systems, and plumbing standards.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces as required on construction sites.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
• Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for field service tasks.
• Additional skills such as remodeling experience, handyman skills, carpentry knowledge or assembly experience are a plus.
