Journeyman Roofers & Roofing Laborers

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Roofers and Roofing Laborers to join our dynamic construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidates will possess strong skills in construction, roofing, and related trades, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. Candidates should be capable of working on diverse projects that require technical expertise and physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized roofing equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and other roofing components
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material procurement
• Operate various construction tools including caulking guns, framing tools, masonry equipment, and welding apparatus
• Conduct site preparation activities including framing, metal stud framing, and concrete forming as needed
• Assist in restoration projects involving stucco, tile laying, remodeling, or masonry work
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean work environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications

Requirements

• Proven experience in roofing installation and repair; prior construction site experience preferred
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project planning
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to roofing and construction sites
• Experience with carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry (masonry), plumbing (plumbing), or related trades is a plus
• Maintenance Person experience or background in restoration or remodeling projects is advantageous
• Valid safety certifications or licenses related to roofing or construction are preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $34.00 - $50.00 per hour
