Journeyman Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Duties

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
• Perform repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive systems, with precision and efficiency
• Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire alignments, and fluid checks
• Repair or replace automotive electrical systems and other electronic modules
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs accurately
• Read and interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality control procedures
• Documenting relevant information including vehicle, inspection, trouble shooting and repair steps made during all repairs
• All other tasks requested by supervisors

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Experience working on heavy machinery
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation
• Ability to perform wheel alignments and work on powertrain components with precision
• Mechanical aptitude complemented by excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools
• Valid certification as a Journeyman Technician or equivalent technical training in automotive repair
