Junior Accountant
Job summary:
We are looking for Junior Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, with a primary focus on the billing and invoicing cycle. This role includes preparing and processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payment collection. The Junior Accountant will work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Invoice creation and processing: Generate and send out invoices to clients in an accurate and timely manner.
- Billing data verification: Review billing data for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies by liaising with clients and the sales team.
- Accounts receivable management: Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments. Follow up on overdue invoices through phone and email.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger and bank statements to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Record-keeping: Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals accurately within the accounting system.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including accounts receivable aging reports, for management review.
- Process improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for improving the billing and invoicing process to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Documentation: Maintain proper documentation and records for all billing and accounts receivable activities.
- Compliance: Ensure billing processes comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Ad hoc duties: Support the senior accounting staff with other accounting projects and tasks as needed.
Skills and qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Fresher
- Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar systems is highly desirable, along with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and analytical problem-solving skills are essential.
- Soft skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Work ethic: Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
