Jr. Architect

• Assist senior architects in preparing conceptual and detailed design proposals.
• Support in client presentations, preparing mood boards, 3D visuals, and design reports.
• Conduct site visits to understand existing conditions, verify construction progress, and assist in resolving on-site design issues.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Contribute to the preparation of BOQs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation, drawing registers, and revision records.
• Research sustainable design strategies, new materials, and technologies for innovative project solutions.
• Participate in internal design discussions and brainstorming sessions to support creative development.
• Provide assistance in statutory drawings and approvals (building permissions, compliance with local by-laws, etc.).Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
• Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
• Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
• Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs, plans.
• Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
• Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.

Skills:

• High attention to detail.
• Excellent client-facing and influencing skills.
• An awareness of the specific environmental and social impact of your projects.
• Willingness to travel within 100-Km radius.
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Revit software highly desirable
• Working knowledge of VectorWorks (Preferred)
