Junior Cost Controller in the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector :
to act as a vital bridge between operations (kitchen/service) and finance. Main responsibility are:
1. Inventory & Stock Management
- Physical Inventory Takes: Conduct daily, weekly, or monthly physical inventory checks of all food and beverage stock in storerooms, kitchens, and bars.
- Stock Discrepancy Reporting: Compare physical stock counts with theoretical stock (system data) to identify variances and investigate shortages.
- Storage Control: Oversee receiving processes to ensure deliveries match invoices in quality, quantity, and price.
2. Cost Analysis & Reporting
- Recipe Costing & Maintenance: Maintain and update recipe costing sheets for all menu items, ensuring prices align with current supplier costs and target food cost percentages.
- Daily/Monthly Reports: Prepare daily and monthly F&B cost reports, highlighting overspending, high-cost items, and wastage.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate differences between actual and budgeted costs (actual vs. potential costs)
3. Operational Support & Cost Control
- Menu Engineering Support: Provide data to support menu engineering by analyzing food cost percentages and contribution margins to optimize profitability.
- Wastage Monitoring: Monitor food wastage, employee meals, and complimentary items to ensure they are logged correctly and minimized.
- POS System Auditing: Audit Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for accurate pricing, voids, and discounts.
- Supplier Coordination: Review invoice pricing to ensure compliance with negotiated supplier contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in cost control, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel and experience with POS or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Micros).
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
