We are seeking an energetic and compassionate JR Detective Camp Instructor to lead engaging summer camp activities for children and youth. In this paid role, you will create a safe, fun, and educational environment where children can explore their interests, develop new skills, and build confidence. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive camp experience for all participants. Duties

  • Lead and facilitate camp activities focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, such as themed games, role-playing scenarios, and educational projects.
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Provide supervision and support to children during various camp activities, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Incorporate elements of childhood development, early childhood education, and special education techniques to meet diverse needs.
  • Assist with setting up activity spaces, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and behavior when appropriate.
  • Support emergency procedures by applying basic first aid skills when necessary. Qualifications
  • Experience in classroom management, childcare, or camp leadership preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, sports coaching, babysitting, or theater is advantageous.
