Junior Graphic Designer

Full-Time | $24-$26 per hour- BOE

Location: 1410 NW Johnson St, Portland, OR 97209

Reports to: Lead Brand Designer

Portland Gear is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our small, collaborative creative team. This role is focused on designing high-performing marketing emails, with opportunities to contribute to a variety of additional projects across our brand. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about design, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Your Role:

• Design and produce engaging marketing emails in support of upcoming campaigns
• Deliver high-quality designs that adhere to established brand guidelines
• Prepare and export assets using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Assist in preparing and optimizing e-commerce photo assets
• Support team with broader design needs across digital and print touchpoints as needed

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative team setting

Preferred Skills

• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a constructive, solutions-focused way
• Experience working on a small team or in a fast-paced creative environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
• Growth-oriented, detail-focused, and open to creative direction
• Some prior design experience (internship, freelance, or related role) preferred
