Jr. High Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Jr. High Teacher to inspire and guide students through their critical middle school years. Duties

• Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding
• Assess student progress
• Provide personalized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse learning needs
• Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment
• Mentor students in extracurricular activities to promote well-rounded development
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and educational initiatives
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Jr. High core subjects
• Excellent communication skills for public speaking, classroom instruction, and parent interactions
• Proficiency in proofreading, copy editing and record keeping
• Experience with groups of Jr. High age students
• Skilled in classroom management techniques to foster respectful and productive environments
• Ability to mentor students academically and socially while supporting their emotional well-being
• Certification, credential, degree, and/or appropriate level of education for age range

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
