Core Responsibilities

  • Sample Collection & Handling
  • Assist in collecting blood, urine, sputum, and other patient samples.
  • Label and store specimens properly to avoid mix-ups.
  • Basic Laboratory Testing
  • Perform routine tests (blood sugar, hemoglobin, urine analysis, etc.) under supervision.
  • Prepare slides and assist in microscopy for basic diagnostic purposes.
  • Support Senior Technicians
  • Shadow experienced lab staff to learn standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Help in setting up equipment and preparing reagents.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Record test results accurately in registers or hospital software.
  • Maintain logs of daily tests and assist in preparing reports for doctors.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance
  • Follow infection control protocols and biosafety guidelines.
  • Ensure cleanliness of lab workspace and proper disposal of biohazard waste.

Additional Learning Opportunities

  • Exposure to clinical pathology, microbiology, and biochemistry basics.
  • Training in hospital laboratory workflow—from patient sample collection to report delivery.
  • Understanding of NABH-compliant documentation and hospital accreditation standards.
  • Developing skills in accuracy, attention to detail, and patient interaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
