Jr. Purchase Officer

Job Title: Junior Purchaser

Location: Raipur

Industry: Refractory / Manufacturing

Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Store Head

Job Purpose:

To assist in procurement and store-related activities by sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely availability of required items for smooth plant operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, consumables, and store items.

Develop vendor relations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Process purchase orders and maintain purchase records in coordination with the store team.

Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels in the store to avoid shortages.

Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers for delivery of ordered materials.

Assist in vendor evaluation and supplier performance tracking.

Maintain accurate documentation of quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.

Support the Purchase Manager in cost-saving initiatives and vendor development.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, or Engineering.

0–3 years of experience in purchasing or store management (manufacturing/refractory preferred).

Basic knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.

Key Skills:

Strong negotiation and purchasing power.

Good communication and vendor management skills.

Knowledge of store handling and inventory practices.

Proficiency in MS Office / ERP will be an added advantage.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
