Junior SQA Engineer (Onsite)
This role requires 6 months to 1.5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and is strictly onsite.
As a Junior SQA Engineer, you'll be a critical part of our development cycle, primarily focused on manual testing and defect management to ensure high product quality.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
- Test Execution: Execute detailed manual test cases (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory) across various platforms (web/mobile).
- Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, reproduce, document, and meticulously track software bugs and anomalies using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Test Documentation: Assist in writing and reviewing clear, maintainable test cases and validating test data based on requirements/user stories.
- Team Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile/Scrum meetings (like daily stand-ups and retrospectives) and work closely with developers and product owners to understand features and resolve issues.
- Reporting: Log test results, summarize testing efforts, and ensure timely communication of critical issues to the team lead.
- Environment Support: Help maintain and verify the integrity of testing environments.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months to 1.5 years in a formal SQA or testing role.
- Skills: Foundational knowledge of SQA principles, the SDLC, and experience with bug tracking tools.
- Location: Must be able to work onsite full-time.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and clear written/verbal communication.
