JUNIOR 3D GENERALIST

Swift Response, LLC — makers of The Flex Seal® Family of Products — seeks a driven, detail-obsessed Junior 3D Generalist with extreme ownership to model, animate, and composite eye-catching 3D assets that power our commercials, ads, and social content. In this role, you will collaborate with Creative, Production, and Marketing teams to build broadcast-ready visuals in Blender and Adobe, actively integrate emerging AI tools into our pipeline, and help keep a fast-paced in-house studio at the cutting edge of what's possible. A strong Blender reel, initiative to stay ahead of rapidly evolving AI workflows, and a proactive, team-first mindset are essential to keep Flex Seal's visuals fresh, innovative, and consistently on brand.


Job Summary: Hours Monday -Friday 9:00a – 5:30pm


The Junior 3D Generalist supports the creation of high-impact visuals for commercials, paid media, and social content using a range of industry tools. This role includes modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and compositing in software such as Blender, while collaborating closely with Creative and Production teams to deliver work under tight deadlines. A sharp, fast-learning artist with strong fundamentals, a strong eye for realism and design, and a demonstrated willingness to continuously develop new technical and creative skills. Success in this role means delivering polished work, responding well to feedback, and proactively expanding capabilities as tools, workflows, and industry standards evolve.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Collaboration & Delivery: Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Industry Awareness: Actively research and keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the 3D industry, including emerging tools and techniques.
  • Creative Contribution: Generate and pitch social media content and campaign ideas both during brainstorming sessions and independently outside of them.
  • Feedback & Execution: Apply feedback and revisions from supervisors in a timely, professional, and detail-accurate manner.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Rapidly Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to tasks and tools used.
  • Task Completion & Communication: Complete tasks on time and clearly communicate any issues to your supervisor or PM in a timely manner.
  • Quality Production: Create high-quality assets, graphics, animations, and effects that meet project specifications and brand standards.
  • Adaptability & Professional Development: Maintain proficiency in current tools and workflows while actively developing new skills, learning emerging technologies, and adapting to evolving creative, technical, and business needs. Demonstrate flexibility in taking on new responsibilities or software requirements as the industry and company priorities evolve.
  • File & Project Management: Manage tasks and files in alignment with PM and IT guidelines. Follow art production pipeline processes.
  • Process Improvement: Actively identify areas in workflows that could benefit from streamlining, research solutions, and communicate recommendations to supervisors.


Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Creating realistic 3D models, graphics, animations, and effects
  • Applying color, texture, light, and composition to 3D and 2D elements
  • Writing scripts to automate tasks, optimize workflows, and implement features in software
  • Understanding and following the art production processes for various media
  • Working and communicating with other artists, animators, designers, and directors
  • Creating original and appealing elements that suit the project's style, theme, and purpose
  • Rendering realistic and high-quality 3D images and animations using rendering software
  • Sculpting organic and hard-surface models using digital sculpting tools
  • Creating realistic and stylized textures for 3D models using texturing software and techniques
  • Rigging 3D models for animation using rigging software and techniques
  • Compositing elements with live-action footage or other media using compositing software and techniques


Education and Experience:


The junior 3D generalist may have a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in computer animation or a related field. However, the most important qualification for a 3D generalist is a strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects that showcase their skills and abilities.


Physical Requirements:


Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
