Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Account Management: Oversee the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and data.
• Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to accounting standards (like GAAP), tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze budget vs. actual variances.
• Auditing: Support and coordinate with external auditors, ensuring proper documentation and compliance during audits.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
• Team Leadership: Often supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend cost-saving strategies to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is typically required, with a master's degree or extensive experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and accounting software is essential.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for complex financial tasks and data interpretation.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is vital for maintaining accuracy in financial records.
• Leadership: Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are necessary to collaborate with various teams and manage junior staff.
• Knowledge of Standards: In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
