Junior Accountant

–*Candidate should be able to join immediately, as this is an urgent hiring. Part qualification* in CA, CMA, CIMA, or ACCA is required.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Accurate Accounting & Reconciliation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting System.
• To ensure proper reconciliations (Suppliers, Customers, Sales, Inter-company, Nojoom, Loyalty, Banks, Loans etc.)
• Ensure all payments on time to support Business operations.
• Suppliers Invoice verification and due diligence.

2. Month-end and Year-end Close:

• Achieve month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Finish all month-end and year-end provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and appropriate schedules.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with finance and other departments to provide financial information and support.

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting operations, including exposure to accounting systems, policies, and procedures in Qatar.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and internal controls.
• Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data reconciliation, and reporting).
