Junior Accountant

Job Description

C&B Consultant is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the company’s financial operations. The role focuses on daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.

The Junior Accountant will work closely with management to maintain organized financial documentation and support the company’s financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Expenses

  • Record supplier invoices and expenses in the accounting system.
  • Maintain proper documentation and attachments for all transactions.
  • Prepare weekly payment lists for management review and approval.
  • Track supplier balances and outstanding payables.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in Zoho Books.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and organized.

Payroll & Administrative Finance

  • Prepare payroll data and maintain employee salary records.
  • Assist with WPS payroll preparation.
  • Maintain expense records and reimbursements.

VAT & Compliance Support

  • Maintain VAT transaction records.
  • Assist in preparing VAT documentation and reports.
  • Support preparation of financial documents for audits or regulatory requirements.

Financial Reporting Support

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain records of receivables and payables.
  • Support management with financial data and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with 1–2 years experience in the UAE.

Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations
