We’re a growing CPA firm in Cleburne, Texas that serves small to medium size businesses and individuals with bookkeeping, tax preparation, and advisory services.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant who can handle both bookkeeping and tax prep, both business and individual. You’ll work alongside experienced supervisors and seniors who want to help you get better at what you do. This position can be in office or remote depending on your proximity to our office.
Day to Day:
Day to Day:
- Manage QuickBooks Online files for your clients — coding transactions, reconciling accounts, keeping things clean.
- Prepare individual and basic business tax returns with solid workpapers ready for review.
- Help with payroll bookkeeping tasks like journal entries and payroll tax support.
- Communicate with your team and with clients — no one should have to wonder where things stand.
- Keep your work organized and visible in Karbon, our practice management system.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience in bookkeeping, tax prep, or both.
- Comfortable working in QuickBooks Online.
- Experience preparing individual tax returns; business return experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a habit of checking your own work before handing it off.
- A good communicator who closes the loop and asks questions when needed.
- Open to learning new tools — we use AI in our workflows and we’ll train you on it. Previous AI experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- CPA candidacy is a plus but not required.
