Junior Accountant

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Position Summary:

Prime Home Health Services has an immediate full-time position for a Junior Accountant to work closely with and support the Accounting Team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Accounts Payable:

- Timely review, coding and posting of invoices

- Process vendor payments in an accurate and timely manner as scheduled

- Maintain files ensuring that they are organized and easily accessible

Payroll:

- Assist Payroll Staff in timely and accurate processing of Fee For Service Payroll

- Assist with bi-weekly contract vendor payment processing

- Serve as source of information to Fee For Service Payroll and contract vendor inquiries

- Process staff mileage/other reimbursements

General Accounting:

- Bank Reconciliations

- Credit Card Reconciliations

- Assists with month/year-end closing to include journal entries and accruals

- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

- Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must

- Adept with technology including working knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Office

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to convey ideas, concerns and solutions verbally or in writing

- Two years of accounting related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved

Salary commensurate with experience

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
