Junior Accountant - Food Manufacturer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the organization’s financial operations by assisting with accounting processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Duties:

• Inventory Tracking: Recording the movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to maintain accurate valuation.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing vendor invoices for ingredients/packaging and managing customer payments.
• Month-End Close: Assisting in preparing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Support internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Reconciliations: Performing bank and general ledger reconciliations to investigate discrepancies. analyze financial data, and interpret results to identify trends.
• Cost Accounting Support: Assisting with tracking direct materials, labor, and overhead costs per product line.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Qualification and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas) and experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on data integrity, as food production requires precise tracking of spoilage and batch records.

Pay: $58,322.13 - $70,237.41 per year
