Junior Architect & Interior Designer

We, at Nikhil Jain Architects are looking for passionate Architects and Interior Designers to join our team and contribute to the design excellence of our ongoing and upcoming projects.

Job Summary:

We are seeking Architects and Interior Designers with a minimum of 1 year of experience in architectural and interior design drawing and detailing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD, familiar with interior detailing, and have a good understanding of design processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural / Interior Design Drawings & Detailing: Develop and produce architectural and interior design drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and details, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Concept Development & Design Execution: Collaborate with senior designers and architects to execute design concepts from initial ideation to final design. Contribute ideas and solutions during design phases.
• CAD Proficiency: Create and modify drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, etc.), ensuring that all details are accurately represented and meet the project requirements.
• Interior Detailing: Prepare detailed designs for interior elements, including space planning, furniture layouts, lighting plans, material selections, and finishes.
• 3D Visualization: Use SketchUp and other visualization tools to create 3D models and presentations. Any knowledge of rendering software (such as V-Ray, Lumion, etc.) will be an added advantage.
• Client Interaction: Attend client meetings and assist in understanding project requirements, offering design solutions that align with client preferences and budget.
• Documentation & Quality Control: Ensure all design work is well-documented, clear, and compliant with relevant building codes and regulations. Maintain accurate records of design changes and revisions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A design-relevant qualification in Interior Design or Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in architectural or interior design drawing and detailing.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD: Strong skills in AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
• Interior Detailing: A solid understanding of interior design details, materials, and finishes.
• SketchUp: Knowledge of basic 3D modeling in SketchUp. Additional rendering skills (V-Ray, Lumion, etc.) are an advantage.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with design and presentation software like Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS Office, and other design tools.
• Language: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is a must for effective communication within the team and with clients.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to solve design challenges efficiently.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
