We are looking for a driven Junior Backend Engineer who is comfortable working with both Node.js and Python (FastAPI) and is eager to contribute to AI-powered system architecture.

Role Overview

As a Junior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Build scalable backend systems
• Work on AI Agent workflows and orchestration
• Handle complex data structures and system logic
• Contribute to multi-language backend architecture (Node.js + FastAPI)

This role is ideal for someone who understands backend fundamentals deeply and wants exposure to AI infrastructure and intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js
• Build lightweight AI-related microservices using Python (FastAPI)
• Design scalable RESTful APIs for SaaS and AI-driven applications
• Work on AI Agent workflows (state management, memory, orchestration)
• Manage structured and unstructured data pipelines
• Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) with backend systems
• Optimize backend performance and ensure production stability
• Contribute to backend architecture planning and documentation
• Debug and resolve system-level issues in staging/production
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Frontend teams

Technical Requirements
Must Have:

• 1 – 1.5 years of backend experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js
• Good working knowledge of Python
• Experience building APIs using:
• Express.js / Node frameworks
• FastAPI (or similar Python framework)
• Strong understanding of:
• Async programming
• Middleware architecture
• JWT authentication
• API security best practices
• Experience with databases:
• MongoDB (preferred)
• OR PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Understanding of system design basics
• Experience with Git and version control

Good to Have:

• Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Understanding of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• Knowledge of Redis / caching
• Experience with Docker
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Experience building SaaS backend systems
