POSITION OBJECTIVES
As a Junior Business Analyst at Overseas Food Trading Ltd, you will contribute directly to the development and delivery of technology-enabled solutions that improve business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business needs, translate them into actionable requirements, and help drive projects from design through implementation. This role is designed for individuals with strong analytical skills, a curiosity for technology, and a desire to learn hands-on solution delivery in a fast-paced environment.
You will support the Senior Program Manager and Business Technology team in implementing system enhancements, ensuring data integrity, and enabling adoption of new tools and processes across the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Requirements & Process Analysis

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs, challenges, and current processes.

Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications to guide development and implementation.

Maintain accurate process documentation, workflows, and technical reference guides.

Solution Development & Delivery
-
Assist in designing, testing, and rolling out new technology solutions aligned with business goals.

Support EDI partner onboarding, data mapping, and integration with internal and third-party systems.

Participate in system configuration, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and deployment activities.

Drive process engineering efforts (both tech and non-tech) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Data & Reporting

Prepare and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to measure project success, adoption, and benefits realization.

Validate, clean, and organize data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Project & Agile Support
-
Manage Jira boards to track project progress, deliverables, and sprint outcomes.

Partner with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track and resolve blockers.

Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal IT resources for solution implementation.

Training & Adoption

Develop and maintain technical and business documentation to support knowledge sharing.

Facilitate training and enablement activities to drive successful adoption of new tools and processes.

Provide ongoing support post-implementation to monitor solution performance and user satisfaction.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

0–2 years of relevant work experience (internships included).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools.

Basic understanding of database concepts and data visualization best practices.

Experience with documentation tools (Word, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc.).

Familiarity with Google Sites or similar web content management tools.

Exposure to Agile methodologies and Jira task management.

Business & Soft Skills:

Exposure to ERP systems.

Knowledge of APIs, SQL, or basic programming concepts.

Familiarity with EDI workflows and standards.

Certifications such as CAPM, ScrumMaster, or similar.

Experience in the logistics, food, or technology industry.

Physical, sensory and motor demands:

Frequent standing and sitting. Intermittent squatting, bending, twisting, and lifting. This position requires excellent visual acuity and auditory sense. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
