Triumph Foods is seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to serve as the technical execution lead for the company's enterprise data analytics and operational intelligence initiative. This position bridges the gap between business intelligence strategy and technical implementation, building and maintaining the data pipelines, automated workflows, database structures, and reporting tools that transform raw operational data into actionable executive intelligence.
The role sits within the Business Support department, which provides financial analysis, organizational development, and purchasing services to the organization. A functional dotted-line relationship with the IT department ensures alignment on infrastructure, security, and network requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, which has designed the analytical frameworks and automated content workflows this role brings to life.
- Design, build, and maintain Power Automate flows that collect, route, and process operational data from multiple sources including email attachments, SharePoint libraries, and external APIs.
- Develop and manage custom connectors to integrate the enterprise analytics platform APIs and USDA Agricultural Marketing Service report endpoints with the Triumph Foods Microsoft 365 environment.
- Automate the daily ingestion of production reports (kill floor, cut floor, boning operations, value-added processing) from email sources into structured SharePoint storage with consistent naming conventions and error handling.
- Build scheduled data collection workflows that pull market intelligence data from USDA AMS APIs (reports LM_HG201, LM_HG200, LM_PK602) at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
- Design and maintain SQL Server or Azure SQL database structures to support long-term storage of production metrics, market data, and operational intelligence.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views that support reporting, trend analysis, and data validation requirements.
- Manage data migration from Excel-based storage to SQL database backends as data volumes and concurrent access needs increase.
- Ensure data integrity, implement backup procedures, and maintain documentation of all database schemas and relationships.
- Develop and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards that present production performance, market intelligence, and operational KPIs to executive leadership.
- Create calculated fields, rolling averages, seasonal comparisons, and year-over-year trend visualizations for commodity market analysis.
- Design and implement data refresh schedules that ensure dashboards reflect current operational data.
- Produce ad hoc reports and data extracts as requested by executive leadership, operations, and finance.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of enterprise analytics platforms, including M365 Connector activation, SharePoint integration, and API key management.
- Build and test custom connectors for platform-to-external-system integrations as directed by technical specifications.
- Assist in encoding business analysis frameworks into platform workflow specifications by translating analytical logic into structured, repeatable processes.
- Maintain compliance with the Data Governance Policy, including data classification requirements, prompt audit logging, and incident reporting procedures.
- Partner with the IT department on infrastructure requirements including network whitelisting, credential storage, Entra ID configuration, and security reviews.
- Work with executive leadership and department heads to translate content production workflows into automated technical processes.
- Support financial analysis and purchasing teams with data extraction, reporting, and process automation needs.
- Document all technical specifications, flow designs, and database schemas to a level of detail that allows independent review, audit, and handoff.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data analytics, management information systems, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL preferred) including query writing, stored procedures, indexing, and database design fundamentals.
- Working experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms.
- Familiarity with at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 environments including SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to work with REST APIs, JSON data structures, and HTTP-based integrations.
- Strong documentation habits and ability to create technical specifications that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across departments with varying levels of technical familiarity.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database or SQL Server administration.
- Exposure to enterprise analytics platforms and API-based service integrations.
- Familiarity with USDA reporting systems or regulated food processing environments.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-900, PL-500, or similar).
- Experience with Python or JavaScript for scripting and data manipulation.
- Understanding of data governance principles, including data classification and access controls.
