JOB SUMMARY
This role will support the purchasing and supply chain activities for materials, products, and services used by the company. Work closely with Sourcing, CSR, operations, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate procurement in alignment with company procedures and goals.
Salary range $70,000-$75,000 annually
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to quote request by Estimating, Sales and Customer Service
- Prepare PR for all requirments based external Customer/Internal Customer need
- Create and issue POs in ERP/MRP; maintain data accuracy (item codes, lead time, MOQ, supplier codes, price validity).
- Review MRP forecasts and initiate replenishment to prevent shortages; escalate urgent needs.
- Request and compare supplier quotes, negotiate prices/terms, and assess delivery lead times.
- Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness) and support corrective actions.
- Assist supplier onboarding and compliance checks (collect certificates, W‑9, NDA, banking info; support CARB/ISO/FSC/REACH checks).
- Track inbound shipments (local & import), coordinate customs docs when needed, and participate in monthly counts and variance reconciliation.
- Maintain vendor price agreements in ERP and support landed cost updates (freight, duty, FX).
- Support cost‑reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Audit invoices prior to payment where discrepancies occur
- Other tasks assigned by manager as needed
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum BS in Business Operations or like experience
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years purchasing/related experienced in the industry
- Knowledge of packaging materials is seen as plus
- Able to work with others (inside and company and suppliers)
- Ability to work on a variety of demands at the same time
