What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a Junior Buyer – Sports to support the growth of our Sports category across both Outright and Marketplace models. This role is ideal for someone early in their buying career who is passionate about sportswear, sneakers, and athleisure, and eager to develop strong commercial and analytical skills.


Key Responsibilities


Buying & Category Support

  • Support end-to-end buying for the Sports category (apparel, footwear, accessories)
  • Assist in assortment planning, pricing, and inventory management aligned with business targets
  • Track seasonal trends in sportswear, athleisure, and sneaker culture
  • Support in-season trading to drive sell-through and reduce markdowns


Brand & Seller Management

  • Assist in managing relationships with sports brands, distributors, and marketplace sellers
  • Support onboarding of new brands and expansion of existing partnerships
  • Coordinate with partners on product launches, exclusives, and campaigns


Marketplace Operations

  • Monitor seller performance across selection, pricing, and availability
  • Ensure product content quality and adherence to Namshi standards
  • Support sellers in improving KPIs such as GMV, conversion, and stock availability


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, content, supply chain, and operations teams
  • Support execution of campaigns, launches, and promotions for sports brands
  • Coordinate internally to ensure smooth go-to-market execution


Data & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze sales, trends, and customer behavior to support buying decisions
  • Track category performance and highlight risks/opportunities
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for weekly and seasonal reviews


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, Retail, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category support
  • Exposure to sportswear, sneakers, or active lifestyle categories is a strong plus
  • E-commerce or retail experience preferred


Required Skills

  • Strong interest in sportswear, fitness, and sneaker culture
  • Good understanding of retail metrics (sell-through, margin, stock turn, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
