Junior Channel Manager

Scope: - Combining shopper and customer knowledge and brand objectives to execute programs and activations that help achieve our channel strategy and hence increase sales volumes - Works with a total of 7 priority channels AB 2,365 outlets NAB 6,400 outlets Functional Responsibilities: 1. Channel strategy - Contributes to the development of channel strategies and programs and takes a leading role in their execution in the market 2. Channel segmentation - Sets up and maintains the optimal structure of the channel/outlet segmentation database 3. Channel activation and planning - Understands the process of channel activity development and its contribution to the yearly channel objectives 4. Channel Budget follow up and accountability 5. Excellence in execution - Ensures implementation of specific activities on time, on strategy and on budget versus agreed objectives 6. Insight on shopper off trade and on trade consumer "Shopper insight project - customer and consumer profiles" - Recognizes key consumer/ shopper information (research and field observation) and participates in creating shopper/on-trade Consumer Profiles to deliver relevant insight 7. Category, portfolio and brand understanding - Understands in depth the individual brand communication guidelines 8. Route to market and customer understanding - Understands shopper/on-trade Consumer Profile, needs, behaviour and trends by channel Leadership Responsibilities: - Leading sales team to achieve perfect execution in the market - Conducting warehouse tours to coach sales organization from District Managers till Account / Area Managers on how to translate channel strategy in to our daily work - Taking a leadership role with any activities / discussions regarding channels in the market

Education, Certifications and Licenses: - Degree in marketing, business administration, economics or commerce from a reputable school - Must Have a Car & Driving License Knowledge and Experience: - Solid experience sales and/or marketing (not less than 2/3 years) Skills and Abilities: - Strong team management skills - Good communication skills - Does not mind working in the beer category - Fluent English Personal Qualities: (Jobholder's profile) - Multi layered personality - Smart and prompt - Fast learner and exposed - Good eye for figures and creative ideas - Outgoing and daring
