Role Summary
Support the build-out and day-to-day running of our Compliance Management System (CMS). You’ll help with regulatory submissions, AML/CFT operations, monitoring & testing, complaints handling, vendor/outsourcing oversight administration, and compliance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory admin: Prepare drafts of filings/returns, keep a live obligations register updated, track deadlines, and maintain evidence folders.
- Policies & approvals: Version-control policies/procedures; run checklists for product/marketing reviews and log approvals.
- AML/CFT operations: Perform KYC file checks, sanctions/PEP screening triage, periodic refreshes, and STR/SAR pack preparation for MLRO sign-off.
- Monitoring & testing: Execute sampling and walkthroughs against monitoring plans; document findings and follow up on remediation actions.
- Complaints & conduct: Maintain the complaints register, track SLAs/root causes, and prepare monthly MI.
- Third-party/outsourcing: Collect due-diligence documents, maintain the vendor register, and track contractual/oversight requirements.
- Incidents & issues: Log incidents/breaches, coordinate root-cause artifacts, and track closure to sign-off.
- Training & records: Run the training tracker (assignments, completion, attestations) and ensure records/retention standards are met.
- Board/management reporting: Compile concise MI packs and dashboards for senior management and committees.
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years in financial-services compliance or AML/CFT (internships count); GCC/Qatar experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of regulatory expectations around AML/CFT, complaints, outsourcing, conduct, and reporting.
- Strong documentation habits, attention to detail, and proficiency with spreadsheets and collaboration tools.
- Clear communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Nice to have: ICA/ACAMS coursework or similar foundational certification.
