Job Title: Junior Contracts Specialist

Introduction: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Contracts Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the contract management process, ensuring that all agreements comply with legal standards and organizational policies. The Junior Contracts Specialist plays a key role in facilitating smooth business operations by assisting in the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, thereby minimizing risks and enhancing business efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements under supervision.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Maintain and update contract databases, ensuring accurate and organized records.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Procurement, and Finance to gather necessary information and approvals.
  • Track contract milestones, deadlines, and renewals to ensure timely actions and compliance.
  • Support the resolution of contract-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports and summaries related to contract status and performance.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices affecting contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in contract management, legal support, or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) for document preparation and data management.
  • Experience with contract management software such as DocuSign, ContractWorks, or Icertis is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and document management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PDF editing tools like Adobe Acrobat.
  • Comfortable using communication tools such as Microsoft Teams or Slack for internal collaboration.
