Junior Credit Officer

    Poste et missions


    • A recognized university degree (Master or above) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy, or a related discipline.
    • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services sector, with a strong foundation in credit risk management and structured lending.
    • Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of financial statements, financial modeling, and credit metrics (e.g., LTV, ICR, DSCR, Debt Yield).
    • Demonstrated ability to assess deals of varying complexity and provide clear, concise credit recommendations under tight deadlines.
    • A proactive, hands-on, and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
    • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management standards applicable to investment banks (e.g., Basel III).
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with management and cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required. Additional language skills are a plus.
    • Experience in credit model development, data automation, or application of AI tools in credit risk processes is an advantage.


    Profil et compétences requises


    • Credit Analyst role for Middle East platform clients.
    • Perform credit risk assessments on financing proposals (new transactions, waivers, annual reviews) submitted by Front Office teams in Corporate, Infrastructure, and Trade Finance. Exercise sound credit judgment on counterparties, transaction structures, and risk mitigants, and provide well-reasoned credit recommendations.
    • Present credit opinions and risk assessments in regional and global Credit Committees. Clearly articulate transaction risks, structural mitigants, and portfolio implications to senior stakeholders.
    • Review and validate internal credit ratings and scorecards prepared by the Front Office, ensuring consistency with internal methodologies and regulatory expectations.
    • Ensure strict adherence to the Bank’s credit risk policies, underwriting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
