Junior Design/Media Apprentice (Automotive)

At Carrara Design, we help enthusiasts worldwide design specifications and liveries for their dream cars. We act as an artistic partner for our clients, helping them design liveries for series like IMSA, and navigate bespoke programs like Porsche's Sonderwunsch and Ferrari's Tailor Made to create one-off masterpieces.

Right now, it’s just me and my Creative Director, but we are both flat out at the moment between all aspects of the business, including client work and a recent rebrand. We are ready to begin the process of looking for a third person to add to our team.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative automotive enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and beauty. No professional experience in our field or with our specific tools is required. However, you should have some sort of creative portfolio to share with us, whether that be cars you've configured online, liveries you've designed in iRacing, 3D work, digital art, or videography/photography. We're not looking for a cog in the wheel to push buttons, but rather a creative mind to bring their own unique perspective and become a key player in our studio long term with oppurtunity for growth.

Your primary role will be sitting alongside us to help design specs and liveries for our clients. Because we are a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate on all aspects of the business, including 3D work, design, media, branding, content strategy, and marketing, depending on where your skills fit best.

Our main tools include Blender, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Any experience with these is a major bonus (especially 3D modeling) and your starting compensation will reflect your skill level in these areas. For the right person, this is a path to a full-time salaried position and a future ownership stake in the company.
