Job Description/ Duties
Digga is seeking and individual who can collaborate within a team setting on engineering projects, carrying out design, drafting, and testing activities essential to product development.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform general drafting using Inventor, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
- Utilize automatic and manual nesting software to arrange parts for maximum sheet utilization , reducing material waste
- Create detailed 2D and 3D product drawings.
- Develop designs and carry out engineering calculations
- Gain hands-on experience in:
- Mechanical design and components
- Hydraulic systems and detailing
- Wiring looms and electrical components
- Engine specification, troubleshooting, and testing
- Collaborate with the production team to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency by improving product designs, developing new tooling and fixtures, and implementing effective manufacturing procedures
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field or working towards
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, fabrication)
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read drawings; job specifications/ instructions
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work
