Position: Junior Engineer - Vendor Development
Role Objective
To provide daily, on-ground follow-up with suppliers for machining, fabrication, and manufacturing updates of aerospace components. The role ensures real-time visibility of supplier progress and helps maintain project schedules for UAV and eVTOL programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit assigned suppliers daily to monitor progress of machining, fabrication, and assembly activities.
- Track and report work-in-progress (WIP) against planned delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with supplier shop-floor teams to identify bottlenecks and escalate issues.
- Submit daily status reports on component readiness, delays, or quality concerns.
- Ensure vendors adhere to agreed timelines for prototypes and production batches.
- Support vendor audits and quality inspections in coordination with QA teams.
- Assist in logistics coordination for urgent parts movement.
- Maintain strong communication between suppliers and the Vendor Development Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering OR ITI (Machinist, Tool & Die, Fitter, Turner).
- 1–3 years of experience in machine shop operations / supplier coordination (freshers with strong practical exposure may also apply).
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (basic level).
- Two-wheeler license MUST (for supplier visits).

- Practical understanding of shop-floor processes.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to escalate issues proactively.
- Willingness to travel within industrial areas daily.
Work Environment
- On-field role with daily visits to vendor facilities in and around Chennai/Tamil Nadu & Bangalore.
- Reports consolidated daily progress to Manager – Vendor Development.
- Critical support role for ensuring on-time procurement and supplier readiness for aerospace programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
