The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur is seeking a qualified & efficient Junior Executive – HR to support the smooth functioning of the department.

Position: Junior Executive – HR (Regular – EWS)

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Applicant should have a Post-Graduation degree/diploma preferably in Management with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute and a consistently good academic record.
  • Minimum 6 years of overall experience, out of which a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the HR domain of preferably a reputed Higher Education/Management Institution or an organisation of repute is required.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Database Management & other MS Office tools is must.

  • Experience of working at IIMs/IITs/NITs or any other premier Institution is desirable and will be given preference.

Job Description:

The broader Job profile will include the following (though not exhaustive):

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment cycles for assigned positions in accordance with the Institute’s recruitment policies, procedures, and applicable Government regulations, ensuring timelines and compliance.

  • Handle the complete joining & onboarding process for new employees, ensuring smooth induction.

  • Monthly attendance processing, leave management & assist in salary bill preparation, and related documentation.

  • Process all applicable allowances as per Institute policy.

  • Verify HR compliance of external agencies, including outsourced manpower agencies, ensuring adherence to statutory and contractual obligations.

  • Manage routine administrative activities of the HR department to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Handle any other responsibilities as assigned by the Competent Authority from time to time.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent command over MS Office tools such as MS – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint etc. with a high-level proficiency in Excel.

  • Working knowledge of HR-related Government of India rules and regulations, with a basic understanding of their applicability in the IIM/autonomous institution setup.

  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with multi-tasking abilities.

Salary & Benefits:

Selected candidate will be offered a Regular appointment at the appropriate pay level as per the 7th Pay Commission and in accordance with the norms of the Institute with an initial probation period of 2 years. In addition to this, the perks & allowances will be paid as per Institute norms.

The decision of the Appointing Authority will be final & abiding in this regard.
