Junior Finance & Accounting Associate

Job Summary:

Pininfarina of America is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Finance & Accounting Associate to oversee day-to-day financial operations, bookkeeping, reporting, and analysis. This role combines strategic financial planning with hands-on execution to ensure accuracy, compliance, and meaningful insights that support business growth. The ideal candidate brings both financial expertise and strong analytical capability within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support business decisions and performance goals
  • Partner closely with the General Manager to oversee cash flow, working capital, and long-term financial planning
  • Collaborate with department heads and executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings with external accountants and the company’s CPA
  • Manage tax filings, audits, and communication with external advisors
  • Maintain and enhance internal financial policies, procedures, and controls
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data in coordination with relevant departments
  • Prepare invoices and credit memos accurately and follow up on collections to maintain positive cash flow
  • Manage accounts payable, including entering vendor bills, reconciling statements, tracking due dates, and processing payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Smartsheet and Excel for forecasting and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with leadership
  • Serve as a finance and accounting liaison for HQ requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally within a service or design industry
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Smartsheet
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Fluent in English. Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States required
