Role Purpose

The Junior Graphic Designer supports the charity's communication, marketing, and community outreach activities by producing high-quality visual content. The role assists in designing digital and print materials that promote the charity's mission, events, programmes, and initiatives. The designer ensures that all visual communication is consistent with the client's brand identity and tailored to audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • A. Design & Creative Production
    • Create visual materials for digital and print platforms, including social media posts, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, newsletters, and presentations.
    • Support the development of branding assets such as icons, illustrations, and templates.
    • Assist in designing promotional materials for charity events, campaigns, and fundraising activities.
    • Edit and retouch photographs for marketing content.
  • B. Social Media & Digital Support
    • Create graphics for social media platforms.
    • Assist with basic animations or motion graphics.
    • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and supports engagement.
  • C. Branding & Compliance
    • Maintain consistency with brand standards.
    • Apply feedback from senior designers and the marketing team.
    • Help update brand materials for new campaigns.
  • D. Collaboration & Coordination
    • Work with marketing, communications, and events teams to understand design needs.
    • Support event preparation with signage, certificates, backdrops, and printed materials.
    • Coordinate with external printing vendors as required.
  • E. Administrative & Organisational Support
    • Maintain an organised library of design files and templates.
    • Document design processes and updates.
    • Support daily tasks within the marketing department.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of design experience (internship or freelance acceptable).
  • Strong creative portfolio.
  • Basic understanding of branding and visual communication principles.
Skills & Competencies
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
    • Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
    • Ability to prepare files for print.
    • Understanding of digital content formats and trends.
    • Photography or videography skills are a plus.
  • Soft Skills
    • Creativity and strong visual sense.
    • Attention to detail and quality.
