Junior Graphic Designer

JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

SUMMARY:

The Junior Graphic Designer at THE LOT plays an integral role in supporting the visual identity and creative initiatives of the brand. This position is responsible for creating and editing a wide range of graphics — including illustrations, layouts, signage, and marketing materials — that align with THE LOT’s brand standards. Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager and collaborating closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, this role assists in designing visuals for digital and print media, social content, in-house displays, and promotional campaigns. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Study design briefs and determine creative requirements for each project.
  • Conceptualize and present design ideas that align with brand objectives.
  • Prepare drafts, mood boards, and visual mock-ups for review and approval.
  • Design and develop graphics, illustrations, and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
  • Produce marketing materials including social media posts, digital banners, menus, flyers, and event signage.
  • Ensure all designs maintain brand consistency and visual quality across media formats.
  • Test and adapt graphics for various media platforms and screen sizes.
  • Edit photos and visual assets to enhance their presentation and alignment with brand standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager on project progress and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current with design trends, media production tools, and best practices.

Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • 1–2 years of experience in graphic design or a related creative field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (minimum 1 year of experience each).
  • Experience in photography, videography, or social media design preferred.
  • Demonstrated creative competency through submission of a CV, portfolio, or proof of work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated dependability, punctuality, and ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for clean design and visual hierarchy.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to:

o Work independently and be self-motivated.

o Communicate clearly, effectively, and responsively.

o Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and shift focus as needed.

o Collaborate effectively within a creative and fast-paced environment.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with THE LOT brand standards.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Office and creative studio environment with extended periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Frequent use of graphic design software, digital editing tools, and standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination required to operate design equipment and computer hardware.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
