Purpose
The Graphic Designer supports the Marketing Communication team (or other subsidiaries when required) in delivering high quality, visually engaging, and on-brand content across internal and external communication channels. The role focuses on executing creative concepts, maintaining brand consistency, and contributing to effective visual storytelling that enhances co-worker engagement and corporate identity.
Accountabilities
• Create and adapt visual assets for external marketing campaigns, retention efforts, promotional offers, corporate announcements, PR initiatives, and internal communications across all group subsidiaries.
• Design content for a diverse range of channels, including social media, paid digital media, direct marketing, OOH, consumer websites and apps, in-store touchpoints, corporate websites, employee intranets, and official presentations.
• Produce assets across multiple formats and sizes, ensuring each output is fit for specific marketing channel requirements and platform specifications.
• Execute approved creative directions into clear, consistent, and high-quality final designs for commercial purposes.
• Ensure all work is strictly aligned with the specific brand guidelines, visual identity, tone of voice, and toolkits of IKEA.
• Support the rollout of campaign assets across paid, owned, retail, and internal touchpoints.
• Apply strong attention to detail across layout, typography, product presentation, messaging, and the accurate placement of disclaimers, copyrights, and terms & conditions.
• Adapt master creatives into localized and channel-specific executions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support basic motion design, animation, and video editing for marketing campaigns where required.
• Organize source files, templates, and final artwork in a structured way for efficient cross-departmental reuse and future adaptation.
• Work closely with marketing, customer engagement, media, e-commerce, and other relevant internal stakeholders of IKEA to deliver assets on time and to brief.
• Stay up to date with design formats, digital content best practices, AI tools, and evolving platform requirements to strengthen day-to-day creative execution for consumer-facing audiences.
• Manage assigned tasks and deadlines effectively, ensuring timely delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
