Outreach
is hiring a Full-time Junior High Program Coordinator at Outreach Warrenville to plan and execute the middle school after school program and middle school summer program. This involves recruiting 30-40 students, planning engaging activities, supporting academics, managing behavior, communicating with parents and school contacts, supporting staff and volunteers and completing grant reports.

Responsibilities:

  • The Junior High Program Coordinator will lead the Quest after-school and summer program and supervise staff, volunteers, and interns.
  • The Junior High Program Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with students, parents, local schools, and community and church partners.
  • The Junior High Program Coordinator will provide academic tutoring, homework support and completion, life skill building, problem-solving, Christian education, parent communication, and recreational activities.
  • Administrative responsibilities include program logistics, database management and reporting, managing student tuition, and transporting students.
  • Schedule: Academic year, Monday - Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Summer, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours vary during school breaks. Occasional weekend hours to support program needs and events.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Education, Youth Ministry, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience with youth.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Previous classroom teaching experience.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families and culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous after-school program experience and bilingual (Spanish/ English) strongly preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • A commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
