Junior Interior Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our creative team! In this role, you will contribute to a variety of design projects, supporting senior designers and project managers in bringing innovative concepts to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about design and eager to develop their skills across multiple software platforms and design disciplines. You will be involved in creating detailed drawings, schematics, and visualizations that help shape our projects from concept to completion. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering high-quality designs that meet client specifications and project requirements.

All candidates must have proficient AutoCAD drafting skills with knowledge of basic architecture and interior design principles. Ability to understand architectural drawings, millwork, and electrical plans is required. English proficiency at a professional or native level is preferred — no exceptions. Experience in high-end luxury residential design, including knowledge of furniture and custom millwork, is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Support the creation of schematics, technical drawings, and construction documentation for various projects.
• Use SketchUp and NavisWorks to develop accurate 3D models and visualizations for client presentations and internal reviews.
• Contribute to mechanical design tasks by preparing drafts, assemblies, and component layouts.
• Collaborate with senior designers to produce clear and precise drafting work aligned with project standards.
• Participate in review sessions to refine designs based on feedback from project teams and clients.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Support the team in creating engaging 2D animations or visual presentations when needed for project proposals or client meetings.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with the ability to produce accurate architectural and interior design drawings.
• Knowledge of basic architecture and interior design principles, including millwork, electrical layouts, and construction terminology.
• Experience in high-end luxury residential design is required, with strong familiarity in furniture, finishes, and custom millwork detailing.
• Proficiency or familiarity with CAD software including Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and NavisWorks is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting techniques.
• Experience with schematics creation and technical documentation is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction processes and building information modeling (BIM) workflows.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate ideas into clear visual formats.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• English fluency at a professional or native level is required.
• A degree or coursework in architecture, engineering, industrial design, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates interested in growth opportunities.

Pay: $24.88 - $29.96 per hour
