Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will assist in creating innovative commercial interior spaces like multifamily projects that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. You will collaborate closely with lead designers, clients, and contractors to bring design concepts to life, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly from initial concept through completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in interior design, project management, and technical drafting while contributing to inspiring spaces that make a difference. You will also be expected to travel appx. 25% of the time for installs, punch walks and site meetings.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of interior design concepts using tools such as Enscape, and , Revit to create detailed plans and visualizations.
- Assist in preparing presentation materials using Canva to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Contribute to drafting and technical documentation, including design development sets, construction documents and also rendering perspectives.
- Collaborate with project teams to manage timelines, budgets, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in site visits for renovation and construction projects to ensure designs are accurately implemented and aligned with client expectations.
- Complete FF&E Installs onsite with the professional installers
- Specify FF&E for Models and Amenity Spaces as needed
Requirements
- Proficiency in Enscape, Revit, and Canva is essential for creating precise designs and visualizations.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards, color theory, FF&E, and interior design principles.
- Experience or familiarity with project management practices including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Knowledge of construction processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A degree in interior design or architecture is required; relevant internships and work experience are a plus. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
