Junior Interior Designer/ Drafter

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic design team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in interior design, drafting, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Initial site -measure
• Prepare detailed drawings and plans using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and 3ds Max to visualize design ideas effectively.
• Prepare and organize layouts in plan view, elevations, ff&e, and cd sets
• Support project management tasks including procurement, site visits, tracking project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, architects and clients during renovation and remodeling projects to facilitate smooth execution.

Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in interior design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of drafting techniques, and CAD standards for interior spaces.
• Strong interest in interior design principles including lighting design, remodeling, renovation, and construction processes. (Plumbing, electrical, tile finishes etc)
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a firm and onsite
• Reliable transportation, preferable a vehicle to drive to Maplewood studio and cliet sites
• Available at a min of Mon-Weds 10-2pm. Some remote Tuesdays. Thursday and Friday coverage depending on candidate.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
