Junior Interior Designer - Residential

Duties

• Assist in developing interior design concepts, mood boards, and space planning layouts tailored to client needs and preferences
• Prepare detailed drawings and presentations using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors
• Contribute to site visits for measurements, inspections, and overseeing renovation or remodeling progress
• Collaborate on lighting design proposals and selections to enhance ambiance and functionality within residential spaces
• Assist in drafting contracts, proposals, and documentation related to interior projects
• Maintain organized project files, records, and communication logs for seamless workflow

Skills

• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization
• Strong understanding of interior design principles including color theory, space planning, lighting design, and remodeling processes
• Knowledge of construction methods, renovation procedures, and building codes relevant to residential projects
• Experience with project management tools and techniques to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to interpret technical drawings such as CAD plans and construction documents
• Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration
• Familiarity with contracts, budgeting practices, sales strategies related to lighting sales or interior furnishings

Pay: $64,688.18 - $77,904.05 per year
