Horizon Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Service Desk Officer to join our team. The IT Support Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation's end-user devices, servers, network, and other IT infrastructure. This includes providing technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, managing and maintaining the office network, staying up-to-date with the latest IT infrastructure and security developments, and
recommending upgrades and improvements as necessary.
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in IT Support, with a focus on managing complex IT environments.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems, including network protocols, hardware, and storage.
- Knowledge of network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection and
- prevention.
- Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of administering Linux operating systems will be a plus.
- Must be flexible to work in rotation shifts and a 24/7 operationResponsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organisation's end-user devices, servers, network, and other IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Manage and maintain the office network and communicate with internet providers when needed to ensure stable and robust internet connections.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT infrastructure and security developments, and recommend upgrades and improvements as necessary.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory Users and Group Policy Objects.
- Create and maintain documentation and asset databases.
- Log all support and service requests and update tickets as needed.
- Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Administer and troubleshoot Asterisk and IP Telephony systems.
- Create and manage file and folder sharing and permissions.

Work Days: Monday to Saturday
