Le'fant is seeking a fully remote Junior Java Developer to support operations at The Charleston Digital Hub in the Charleston, SC area.

The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. Job Description:

A Developer must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

Requirements:

Must have:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or another technical discipline. 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.

• 2+ years of professional experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies
• 2+ years of professional experience with Software Development and Implementation
• 2+ years of professional experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
• 1+ year(s) of professional experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design, REST, SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Spring, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL), WebLogic, JPA/Hibernate and Java EE
• Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support
• Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance
• Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and have lived in the U.S. for the last three consecutive years.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with rule and BPM engines
• Experience with REST API (RESTful API)
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with REACT and Python
