junior lawyer (entry level)

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent law graduates or early-career attorneys to develop their expertise across various legal disciplines. The Junior Lawyer will support senior attorneys in legal research, drafting, and case preparation, contributing to the successful resolution of diverse legal matters. Candidates with a strong foundation in multiple areas of law and excellent research and writing skills are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
• Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations by organizing case files and evidence.
• Review and analyze legal documents related to family law, immigration law, and litigation cases.
• Attend client meetings and court proceedings as needed.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects within the law office environment to ensure timely case progression.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• knowledge of legal areas including , such as immigration law, family law, or criminal law is a plus.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and synthesize complex information effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Prior experience or familiarity with a law office setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in diverse areas of the law within a professional setting dedicated to client service excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,792.82 - $57,556.94 per year
