Junior Legal Counsel

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Junior Lawyer to join our team in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in legal processes, particularly in regulatory compliance, contract management, and legal matters related to financial, social media and advertising institutions. The ideal candidate will support the legal department in contract management, corporate governance, compliance matters, and cross-border advisory work.This role requires an individual who can operate in a fast-paced, international environment and demonstrate exceptional legal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

● Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including consultancy, SaaS, NDA, and partnership contracts

● Manage legal compliance (KVK, GDPR, KYC, AML, MIFD..) and regulatory processes of the company

● Ensure adherence to financial regulations and the requirements of regulatory authorities such as BDDK and SPK

● Provide legal risk assessments and advisory to relevant departments

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations, finance, risk) to provide actionable legal insight.

● Monitor domestic and international legal and regulatory developments

● Experience in Competition Law, IT Law, Corporate Law and compliance-related matters is a plus

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputable university

● 0-2 years of professional experience (preferably in the finance or banking sector)

● Excellent command of English (C1 level or above) – must be fully proficient in both written and spoken business/legal English (spoken, written, and legal negotiation)

● Strong understanding of compliance processes and regulatory frameworks

● Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

● Team player with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
