As a Junior Marketing Strategist you will support all phases of project management, including proposals, strategic planning, research, event execution, and ROI analysis. You will work closely with the Account Service team while independently managing day-to-day tasks and assigned projects. In this role, you should gain the confidence of clients and co-workers through consistent attention to detail, good judgment, team building skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

This position supports a U.S. government contract, requiring the person in this position to obtain and maintain a favorable investigation with the government. The government investigation process begins after a Conditional Offer has been accepted by the candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to Account Service Team and Senior leadership
  • Independently handle day-to-day management of assigned tasks and projects
  • Gather and assemble background information and analyses as needed for development of job proposals, quotes, creative briefs, budgets, project change requests, etc.
  • Gain confidence of clients, coworkers, and vendors through reliable attention to detail and good judgement
  • Maintain files on all client activity, build timelines and set project milestones as well as ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Work under tight deadlines; quickly adapt to fast-paced situations and ever-changing environments
  • Receive constructive feedback in a professional manner
  • Other related duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to successfully undergo a government investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field
  • One to two years agency-related experience preferred
  • Experience and proven success in a deadline-driven environment or an environment where a high degree of self-motivation was necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a keen eye for spelling and grammar
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in event coordination and execution
  • Strong interpersonal and team building capabilities
  • Ability to take on multiple projects and work in a flexible environment
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with working on a computer with a macOS operating system

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel at least three to five times per year and navigate both MediaCross and Client facilities.
