Junior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Job Description

We at DRN is currently looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career in the HVAC industry, gaining hands-on experience in both engineering design and site execution.

The ideal candidate will possess strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, and the communication skills necessary to bridge the gap between our engineering office and site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• HVAC Drafting & Design: Prepare, modify, and review detailed HVAC shop drawings, section details, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD according to project specifications and local authority regulations.
• Site Coordination: Act as a key point of contact between the engineering office and the site execution team. Regularly communicate with site supervisors, foremen, and technicians to ensure installation matches approved drawings.
• Material & Quantity Take-offs: Assist in preparing material submittals, quantity take-offs (BOQ), and tracking material deliveries to the site.
• Progress Monitoring: Visit project sites to monitor installation progress, identify any design discrepancies on-site, and report feedback to senior engineers.
• Documentation: Maintain precise engineering documentation, drawing logs, and site progress reports.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven experience in HVAC drafting, site coordination, or MEP contracting
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Advance excel knowledge and Microsoft Office skills.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse site staffs.

Skills: Quick learner, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction/maintenance environment.

Location: Currently residing in the UAE.
