Educate patients on proper eye care practices, lens care, and the importance of regular eye examinations to promote eye health and prevent vision loss.
Perform specialized testing, such as visual field testing, retinal imaging, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of eye conditions.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient progress using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions to ensure a positive patient experience and build trust.
Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and ocular health evaluation to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases accurately.
