Junior Patent Analyst

About the Role: We are seeking a Junior Patent Associate with a strong academic foundation and up to 0-2 years of relevant experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support patent-related tasks with a focus on prior art search, patent drafting, and technical documentation, primarily in the mechanical and related engineering domains.

Responsibilities: Conduct prior art and patentability searches using databases such as Derwent, PatBase, or PatSeerDraft high-quality patent specifications in line with Indian and international standards (USPTO, EPO, etc.)Assist in the preparation of office action responses and amendmentsCollaborate with inventors, R&D teams, and senior attorneys to capture technical disclosuresMaintain up-to-date knowledge of patent law developments and guidelinesSupport in analytics, landscape studies, and technology benchmarking as needed.

Qualifications: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (other core engineering disciplines may also be considered)Strong academic track record (First Class / Distinction preferred)Up to 2 years of experience in a patent firm, in-house IP team, or patent services company.
